Ford Welcome to Frisco: The Ford Center at The Star

Well Jerry Jones has done it again. He has sold naming rights to the Cowboys Indoor Stadium in Frisco to Ford for an undisclosed amount at the Mixed Use "The Star". Jerry Jones is not new to this naming rights game. In 2013, he sold to AT&T naming rights for Cowboys Stadium in Arlington for an estimated $17-19M per YEAR.

The stadium is about 50% of the way done, but below is a video released this past week that shows a flyby of the finished product. I’m typically not impressed with future development rendering pictures and videos, but this will get anyone living in surrounding communities pretty excited:

The combination of corporate relocations of Toyota, Liberty Mutual, and Fedex in North West Plano (NW corner of 121/Dallas North Tollway) and mixed use developments in Frisco are driving job and population growth, which is what every retailer and home builder is looking for.  The synergies from the $5B mile in Frisco and the Legacy West development will create a new office hub at the intersection of Tollway and 121.

If you are interested in commercial real estate in North Dallas, feel free to reach out to me at: jeng@oldcapitallending.com or 214-300-5035.  I just closed a multi-family deal in McKinney, which is one of the surrounding suburbs that will benefit from all these new developments.
